Indigenous Community Commitments

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) serves as the formal, legally binding document that outlines the specific terms and conditions once an Indigenous Cultural Community grants its consent for a project. The MOA between the proponent must include comprehensive provisions for benefit-sharing, detailed plans for environmental protection, resettlement, and disaster assistance.

Following a series of negotiations, duly authorized representatives from various barangays, including those that voted NO, formally signed the agreement with Crescent on December 18, 2024.

Twelve barangays received the 1st tranche of socioeconomic assistance in December 24, six days after the MOA signing. As of March 2026, eleven barangays accepted the second tranche of socio-economic assistance from Crescent.
